Boxing Day Santa Run 2014

Are you ready for the annual Wingerworth Wobblers Boxing day run?

Meet at 10.30am, Allendale Park (usual place) in Christmas festive gear – or it will be provided!! Friends, children and family who wish to walk are more than welcome, they will take a more direct route (30 minutes ish) to our half way stop at Stubbing Pond. After refreshments (as will all be starving and malnourished) of mulled wine, sherry, mince pies and chocolates the walkers will head back and the runners will wobble around the village so we can all meet at Allendale Park around the same time. The Wingerworth Wobble is on 11/10/14

Sorry for the delay all you keen muddy runners. Due to a clash of dates and busy season competing the Wobble has had to move to autumn this year. The course remains the same, start time still at 10.30am, HQ is still at Deer Park School, New Road, Wingerworth and I’m hoping that after a busy season we can top last years new course record.

Letters will be going out to last years category winners asking them to make sure the trophies are back from the engravers in time, trophies can be returned to any of the Wobblers ( apart from Sam – he always places 4th so may want to hang onto one!!) prior to race day.

Great turn out for Parwich, Roger, Sam, James, Lucy, Elizabeth and Jim. Tough course, lovely weather. Some tired expressions at the finish (Sam) naming no names. Roger looks deep in thought filling out the entry form – always the hardest part!
